Love at First Sight By Greta Bondieumaire

This has got to be the most controversial subject of all time.  Is it real, is it possible, will it last? Some of us may not care about the last two questions, and would be satisfied by a positive answer to, is it real? I know I would be.

We all want that first eye to eye contact with the gorgeous guy across the room who will fulfill all our hearts’ desires. He’ll sweep you off your feet and you’ll grow old together and still in love when you’re ninety plus. Dream, dream, dream… that’s what most people will say to that. They’ve been there, they’ve done the love thing which obviously didn’t work out. They’ve been victims of too many messy situations because of “love at first sight”. It always seems to be a one‐sided affair and they have grown cynical.

And then there are those of us who can’t help believing, because we refuse to accept that this is all there is to life. There must be more… and of course, what to do with all that love overflowing from our bosoms?  Come on, with billions of people on earth, there has to be someone out there, made just for you?

Then there are the lucky ones. Love at first sight leads to a lasting, concrete and loving life long relationship. And their lives and their stories are what help us keep the faith. That’s why we read so many romance novels and how‐to books. If you can’t live it, you might as well dream it or dream it before you can live it because you never know what happens when you believe ‐ you might get lucky.

About the book:

No one knows how bumpy the road to love is more than Tisha Cole. After years of excruciatingly embarrassing dates, the 25-year-old receptionist is ready to hand in her dating license, but her cynical cousin, Drew, will not let her. She knows that finding Mr. Right has always been Tisha’s ultimate goal in life and short of joining the search herself, Drew plans on doing whatever it is in her power to help Tisha find him.

When they cross paths with two best friends and a very sexy entrepreneur, there’s a slight change in plans.  Drew who has always been adamant about keeping her single status begins to doubt her immunity to Tisha’s lovesickness.

Tisha has hit the jackpot with not one but two perfect dates! Where next will her quest for love take her when she decides to upgrade her relationship—with both men!  Two not-so-sweet cousins, three not-so-honest men. With the many potholes and crossroads along the way, will Tisha ever reach her destination?

About the Author:

Greta Bondieumaitre is from St. Lucia, a small but lively island in the Caribbean. She started writing love stories between classes in high school to amuse her friends at lunch time. Ten years later, she published her first novel, "Her Heart's Desire". She later published, "Play Me A Love Song" and recently, "'Til I Find You". She describes writing during her post-high school years as, "self therapy".

A young woman seemingly cursed to a life filled of nothing but bad dates, and her cousin, take a journey on the bumpy road to love in Til I Find you by Greta Bondieumaitre.  Well developed characters, good dialogue and just the right touch of humor, kept me turning the pages from start to finish. Set on the lovely island of St. Lucia, with all of its tropical charm, Ms. Bondieumaitre’s story is the perfect lunchtime diversion.

Twenty Five year old Tisha Cole is ready to give up on love and dating.  After seven years of nothing but bad dates, she’s had enough.  While riding the bus, after yet another terrible dating experience, she meets a clumsy young man, who manages to get her to give him her parent’s number, and soon finds herself dating two men at the same time, ignoring her cousin’s advice and learning that when it comes to love, honesty is always the best policy.
Ms. Bondieumaitre does a good job developing all of the characters in the story; I especially liked Tisha, though she wasn’t very mature and had the habit of making bad choices, I also liked Drew, her twenty three year old cousin who really didn’t believe in love, and Dwight and Craig, the two young men who fall in love with them.

With a rapidly paced plot, and a couple of twists and turns, Ms. Bondieumaitre keeps the story moving and entertaining from the start.  I enjoyed reading the descriptions about St. Lucia and also got a feel for what life is like on the island.

Will Tisha and Dwight learn that honesty is always the best policy when it comes to real love? Will Drew and Craig be able to help those they love when they need their help the most?  You’ll have to read Til I Find You to find out.  I enjoyed it and look forward to reading more of Ms. Bondieumaitre’s work.
