From the Publisher:

She'd never been lucky in love...'til she met him.

If it weren't for bad luck, Meg Williams wouldn't have any luck at all. As if traveling to a tropical island on Valentine's weekend in a nasty storm isn't bad enough, she's doing it alone after finding her boyfriend in bed with another woman. Enduring the trip from hell, she arrives on Eden Isle only to discover that her hotel reservation has been lost and there are no vacancies anywhere.

Rob Madison is used to being pursued by women for his fortune. When he meets Meg in the bar and realizes she doesn't know who he is, he decides to spend the evening as a regular guy. Discovering she doesn’t have a place to stay, he offers to share his penthouse with her.

As the night progresses, Meg wonders if her luck has turned, while Rob wonders if one weekend in each other's arms will be enough…

My Review:  This book is part of the 28 Days of Heart Campaign done by All Romance Ebooks to raise funds for and awareness of heart disease.  I really enjoyed reading this story.

The character of Meg is a generous and caring woman.  She is a teacher of special education children and is devoted to her students.  She finds her boyfriend cheating on her and decides to take the trip that she had bought as a surprise gift for him by herself.  From the moment that she arrived at the airport to when she finally arrives at her destination, it is the trip from hell.  She still manages to try to make the best of things.

Rob Madison is the owner of the hotel that Meg has a reservation at.  He is one of the most eligible batchelors on the planet being rich, well educated and very handsome.  He also doesn't really know who his friends are.  An over booking of the hotel leaves Meg with no room to stay in and he offers to put her up at "his company's room" in the hotel.  He doesn't tell her his real name and uses the name Rob Mason.  He is attracted to her and wants to get to know Meg as if he was a regular joe.  They end up sharing the suite.

One thing leads to another and they end up lovers.  Both are highly attracted to each other and they find out that they just genuinely like each other.  They end up spending the entire weekend together.  Rob plans to tell Meg who he really is but just can't ever bring himself to do so.  Unfortunately he has some unexpected "friends" arrive who force him to reveal to Meg who he really is.

I won't spoil the ending but will say that there is a happy ending.

I bought the book because I liked the premise and also liked that all of the funds from the sale of the book go towards a good cause.  It  is a short story in length of about 70 pages.

My Rating:  5 out of 5 Crowns
