I am delighted to be spending some time here at the Queen of All She Reads review site. EGG DROP DEAD is book seven of my New York Times best-selling Cackleberry Club mysteries set in Kindred, a fictional town in the Midwest. Suzanne, Toni, and Petra, co-owners of the Cackleberry Club, a farm-to-table café, pride themselves on having cordial personal relationships with customers and suppliers alike. So Suzanne is looking forward to her car ride out to Mike Mullen’s dairy farm to pick up some cheese wheels. But when she arrives a barn full of cows, moaning their complaints that it is long past milking time, signals that something is amiss. Suzanne opens the barn door and nearly trips over Mike’s bloody body.

Suzanne, Toni, and Petra are determined to bring Mike’s killer to justice. Sheriff Doogie would just as soon solve the murder on his own, but he has learned not to underestimate the ladies of the Cackleberry Club, especially Suzanne.
