Scotland

The scream froze me in my tracks, but the shout that followed propelled me out of my indecision and around the hedge line of the maze.

My Thoughts:  The Scottish proverb is pretty spot on…lol…The first sentence let’s me know someone is already dead!

My 56 (Also from The Anatomist’s Wife by Anna Lee Huber): 

     He twisted his lips.  “It is unfortunately a well-known truism among sheriffs, constables, and military men that more trouble breaks out during a full moon than any other time of the month.”
     I lifted my eyebrows in skepticism but opted not to argue with him.

My Thoughts:  I would say that I kind of have to agree with him – I’m not superstitious but I do think that for some reason people act more bizarre at the full moon than another other time – it really seems to bring out the craziness in some people.
