ReplyDeleteWe always get together w/ my in-laws, walk the neighborhood trick-or-treating w/ my kids, then if it isn't too late, we'll hand out some candy too.
ReplyDeleteBoth my kids went freaky this year and I'm so excited about it. Son put together this weird killer like outfit, complete w/ super freaky mask that has no eyes! Daughter is a Skeleton Bride and wants the makeup done freaky too! This mom is stoked! lmao

I love this time of year. I don't have very many children come to trick or treat but I do hand out candy to those who do show up. I have seen some unique costumes lately. As a kid, I remember we always made our own and no one purchased a costume.

ReplyDeleteWell, we're supposed to get Hurricane Sandy around Tuesday, so I'm not sure if there will be any trick or treating for my kids. :(
ReplyDeleteI do not do anything for Halloween anymore. We do not have kids on our street to come around. But, in years past, we would decorate the house, make cookies and punch, and have a small party. I used to have a solid black cat, and he would sit in the window.

My fiance and I are Pagan, so this is one of the most important Sabbats to us. We do plan to pass out goodies to Trick-Or-Treaters, but afterward, we'll be performing a ritual in line with our beliefs. It's not about the costumes and candy for us. It's a very spiritual night.

My fave thing about Halloween is watching all the tiny tykes coming to our door in costume, looking into our house (through our full glass front door), excited to get a treat. Last year we had almost 200 trick-or-treaters! That's what I'll be doing!

I'm hiding out from the neighborhood kids :) My pups afraid of so many people so I usually turn out all the lights and hunker down with a book. Pretty perfect :)
